On International Women’s Day…an Inside Look at the Women of McKellar

On this day, when we pause to applaud the successes and acknowledge the continuing struggles of women around the world, we wanted to spend a brief moment celebrating the women of McKellar Structured Settlements.

The Numbers Speak for Themselves

At McKellar, we’re always interested in the math.  Here are some interesting statistics:

  • McKellar has eleven owners.  Five are women.
  • McKellar has twelve Principals.  Seven are women.
  • McKellar has six Associates.  Three are women.
  • As a whole, McKellar is comprised of 72.5% women.
  • Over the past 20 years, we have raised over $323,325.00 for the Women in Insurance Cancer Crusade, through our annual Women’s Charity Golf Day.  With this annual event, we’re able to celebrate women in the industry, while at the same time contributing funds to very specific breast and prostate cancer programs in Canada.

The Mothers Speak for Themselves

The recent years have seen a number of “McKellar” babies join our family.  In fact, 52% of the moms at McKellar are new moms.

At McKellar, parental leave is viewed as an opportunity for change and growth.  McKellar’s commitment to cross-training and our long-standing back-up system allow parental leaves to exist without negatively affecting the flow and quality of work, or the excellent customer service that is synonymous with the McKellar brand.

At McKellar, we recognize that the lines between work and home are blurred and flexibility is required in order to maintain the commitment to both.
